The Great Invocation: An all-encompassing modern-day chant

The Great Invocation

From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of every person, every being.
Let Light descend on earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of every person, every being.

Let Love descend on earth.
May the world teacher return to Earth.

From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the will of every person, every being
The purpose which the Holy Masters know and serve.

Let Goodwill and Will to do good descend on earth.

From the centre which we call the Human Race.
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Divine Plan on Earth.

We are separated by boundaries, colour, religion, caste, economy, income, education, gender, opinions, point-of-views, politics, ideology and everything that divides. Since the world exists between opposites, there is a powerful and most underutilised formula, known to few: ‘The Great Invocation’. It is a chant, mantra, prayer and whatever you would like to call it.

This tool was passed on by Holy Master Djwhal Khul to Alice A Bailey in 1945 during the World War II, a very difficult time for people around the world. This era required unity and goodwill. According to Lucis Trust, this prayer/chant/mantra has been translated into 80 different languages. It still remains a hidden gem. Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, founder of modern Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga, adapted the version above. Many Pranic Healers and Arhatic Yogis around the world practice this regularly.

So, what is the magical code here? According to dictionary, ‘Invocation’ is an act of calling upon something or someone. As the name suggests, The Great Invocation opens the gateway to bring down tremendous amount of energies of the three expressions of the God: Light, Love and Power.

Light is what we all need to illuminate our mind, for greater understanding and awareness. Today, we are parched for compassion, brotherhood and kindness. Love binds the opposites; it brings in happiness. Will is the ingredient of action. Action to spread goodwill around the world. Also, to discern between what is good and not so good for us.

The Trinity of Light, Love and Power is omnipresent in every religion. Hindus know it as Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. Christians refer to it as God the Holy Spirit, God the Son and God the Father. Such correspondences exist in other religions, cultures as well.

These aspects stream forth different energies and fill up the gaps humanity has been facing on the path of evolution. The purpose is to manifest the divine plan on planet earth. It cannot be achieved unless and until you and I recognise the soul purpose. Hence it requires a medium to bring the downpour of energy and distribute it to our chakras and areas of the earth where it needs the most. One can offer oneself for this world service by chanting it alone or in a group. This is the modern day Satsang or Service.

Like a water hose, it energises everything that one projects the energy towards. It is practiced to remove negative thoughts, clean the aura and chakras, spread peace and harmony in disturbed areas around the world, during natural disasters, balance the energies of light, love and power, so on. It also protects the practitioner and creates good karma.

It is a modern-day weapon to carpet bomb peace, harmony and love in the world. Practice it daily and observe the difference in your thoughts and surroundings. All you have to do is. Raise your hands in front of your heart, blessing a small imaginary earth in front of you. Chant this prayer 3 times (Or more). You will feel the energy coming out of your hands (Even if you don’t, after several practices you will feel it). Focus this beautiful energy to yourself, your family, work, goals, finances, relationships, health, troubled areas in the world, people suffering with an intention that they get well soon and anything which requires a helping hand.

There is light within all of us. Let us find this light, follow it and radiate it to higher meanings.
